Installing a Full Touchless Sensor Faucet Replacement (The Pro-Summit Way)
If you’re replacing an old faucet entirely, the process is more involved but very rewarding. If you’ve installed a faucet before, you can handle this. If not, don’t be afraid to hire a plumber.
Installation Steps:
1.Shut Off the Water & Remove the Old Faucet: This is the most critical step. Locate the hot and cold water shut-off valves under the sink and turn them clockwise until tight. Turn on the old faucet to release the remaining water. Use your wrenches to disconnect the water hose. Then, loosen the large mounting nut holding the faucet in place. Carefully lift the old faucet out.
2.Prepare for the New Automatic Faucet: Thoroughly clean the sink surface where the old faucet was seated, removing any old putty or debris.
3.Install the New Touch-free Faucet: Take out the faucet, loosen the nut and washer (one rubber+ one S/S), then carefully insert the faucet’s tailpieces through the mounting hole. From underneath, attach washer and tighten the nut securely.
4.Connect the Water Lines: Connect the faucet hose to the control box water outlet, additional hoses for hot and cold lines to connect control box water inlet and water shut-off valves are not included.
5.Install the Control Box: Drill 3 holes with diameter 7.5mm and depth 30mm, knock the expansion tube into the hole. Then fix the control box to the wall, and connect the sensor wire between faucet and control box.
6.Install the Power Source:
Battery-Powered: Take out the battery case from the control box, install 4AA alkaline batteries correctly and fix back.
AC Adapter: Plug the transformer from the control box into a power outlet. Crucially, keep the cord and outlet away from any potential water.
7.The Final Check: Slowly turn the water supply valves back on. Check every connection for leaks.
